The Chicago-based Accounts Payable function provides elite service to the firm by executing the cash disbursements cycle for eight US offices.
As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead a team of 2 supervisors, 2 team leads and 10 clerks. In addition, you will lead a team of 8 3rd party clerks. Monthly volume can be in excess of $1 million to $3 million a month.
You will be driving strategies, mitigating risk, managing and motivating the team, ensuring strong controls and clean records, overseeing systems, innovating, and providing impeccable service.
Please be an accomplished accounts payable expert with deep knowledge of all aspects of the cash disbursements cycle and related systems.
Please have 10+ years of Accounting experience with solid A/P experience, with at least 3 years in management and a plus if your experience is within a professional services firm or law firm, but not required
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and higher degrees preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered instead of the degree when experience is directly related to the needs and expectations of the role
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, required
Any knowledge of automated disbursements workflow systems (e.g., Chrome River, Concur, Coupa), strongly preferred
