SALES MANAGER – EDUCATION
Up to $90,000 with a 10% incentive bonus
This well run, stable and growing association located in Alexandria, VA with free parking seeks a Sales Manager for their education department. You will be responsible for sales of the association’s training and consulting services.
You will generate sales of training and consulting services, in accordance with the goals of the Strategic Plan, keeping track of all activity in Salesforce. You will manage the relationship with the new sales trying to “upsell” them in the future.
You must be an organized self-starter capable of making independent decisions affecting the development and implementation of the sales, marketing, communication, database, and member services goals of the Strategic Plan. You must be accurate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting assigned deadlines. Excellent telephone and in-person customer service skills. Proven executive management experience. You must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to proofread and edit reports, journals, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, and the general public.
You must have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; ability to read financial reports; ability to utilize human resource systems; and the ability to use association management software and customer relationship software.
a BA/BS is preferred and at least 5 years of sales management and supervisory experience, education or training experience is a huge plus
You will directly supervise division heads. Carry out supervisory responsibilities, in accordance with the Employee Handbook, Board of Directors Policy Manual and Handbook, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing; supervising the training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work in accordance with the association’s Strategic Plan; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
You may be required to travel, including travel over weekends.
9-5:30, exempt position, up to $90,000 with a 10% incentive bonus and 100% paid benefits.
