General Manager – Manchester, CT Location
Up to $80,000 with a potential bonus of 15% at year-end
You will be on five days a week on-site, with at least one weekend day.
You will manage an international indoor adventure Center/Park for all ages featuring trampolines, ninja warrior courses, dodgeball, climbing structures, laser mazes, ice skating, a roller rink, a soccer field, virtual reality games, and more.
You must be a driven leader who is motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent managerial, organizational, communication, and customer service skills who can lead people and strive for success.
As the General Manager, you are the location’s CEO and responsible for the center’s overall performance, business growth, and day-to-day operations, including developing and driving the team to achieve and surpass the company’s business goals.
Core Responsibilities:
Oversee/Lead all Finance and Business Aspects of the Center/Park; Responsible for managing the P&L for the Center and identifying ways to grow the business and manage operations costs; Proactively review the General Manager dashboard results weekly and identify opportunities and risks; Monitor cash handling processes and spot check for accuracy: audit financials weekly; Oversee all inventory management and ordering responsibilities within the center.
You will manage a full and part-time staff of 40-50; Create Manager and Team Member schedules and ensure proper staffing on all shifts; Ensure GM or AM is scheduled to work during all hours of operations, where possible; Address staffing challenges as needed; Hire, train and develop Park Team Members; Provide ongoing training and direction as required; Support Assistant Manager with all Center/Park level HR tasks (new hire paperwork, orientation, training, performance reviews, maintaining employee files); Responsible for overseeing and coordinating schedules for activities that take place on our indoor soccer field. These activities include an indoor soccer league consisting of 50 teams, high lacrosse, and flag football, and motivating, leading, and setting goals and priorities for all team members.
You will engage with Guests to gather feedback; Own Guest satisfaction; Oversee or assign somebody to oversee all front-of-house activities, including cashier performance, cash management, Guest check-in process, Guest concerns, and safety and cleanliness throughout the lobby area; Responsible for overseeing and assisting with the coordination and planning of an After School and Summer Camp program consisting of kids ages 4-10 and develop and maintain a Guest service culture throughout the center.
You will oversee all local marketing efforts, event management, and party hosts and ensure all events are executed seamlessly; Drive and measure the success of party/event package offerings and make adjustments as needed; Go out into the community to build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations.
You will monitor overall Center safety and cleanliness; ensure company policies and standards are practiced by all Team Members; Oversee or assign somebody to oversee all Court Monitors and back-of-house activities, including safety inspections, equipment maintenance, cleaning schedules, and repairs; Monitor equipment condition and replace as needed (i.e., mats, pads, foam); Ensure Park equipment meets all local, state and ASTM regulations; Master all technology and systems in your Center/Park; know what to do if an issue arises; Must be fluent in the emergency and evacuation plans for your center; Ensure Customer Injury Reports are completed correctly and address any facility issues or concerns relating to a customer injury.
Required and Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree OR years of commensurate experience
4+ years of retail, movie theater, arcade, fun center, or hospitality management experience where you have supervised and managed a store
First-aid, CPR, and AED certified
Be PRESENT in your Center
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is often required to read, write, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hand and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk and hear. An individual in this position will be required to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to moderate noise. The team member may be required to work extended periods on their feet.
Hours can be from 11:00 am to 7-9 pm, and availability to be reached on your days off.
