The Financial Operations function is responsible for providing outstanding service to the firm’s partners by supporting their invoicing cycle that issues over $1 billion in client invoices annually.
As the E-Billing Supervisor, you will lead a team of 8-10 specialists responsible for managing the firm’s global E-Billing activities. As both leader and tactical expert, you would be serving as a role model and mentor and presiding over the full integration, invoicing, and support of the firm’s E-Billed clients. In addition to operational execution, the role ensures exemplary customer service and persistent problem solving while also driving departmental strategies. We’re seeking a motivated and collaborative partner to support our continuing cultivation of operational and service excellence.
You will lead the whole realm of the firm’s E-Billing activities, including client implementations and invoicing, troubleshooting, annual processes, systems management, and support. Lead a team of up to 10, assigning work responsibilities and ensuring quality and timely work output. Trains, mentors, and assesses work performance of assigned staff. Ensures smooth and efficient daily operations and exemplary customer service. Ensures quick and effective troubleshooting and issue resolution. Oversees E-Billing technologies and system integrations and upgrades. Provides support and guidance to Billing team and colleagues, and develops and implements E-Billing reporting and metrics. Manages the firm’s annual rate increase process for E-Billed clients. Fosters a positive, collaborative, empowering work environment. Proactively forges strong working relationships with partners, clients, and colleagues. Provides timely and candid communication on statuses, problems, and timelines. Ensures compliance with firm deadlines and policies. Proactively recommends and implements process, procedural and policy enhancements, and leads departmental projects and other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or business administration, is strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in place of the degree when the experiences have been directly related to the functions of the job
5+ years of legal billing and E-Billing experience required
3+ years of legal billing and E-Billing supervisory and management experience required
Extensive, in-depth legal E-Billing expertise, including industry systems and processes
Advanced Microsoft Suite expertise (including Excel, Word, Outlook) required
Oversee assigned staff, including professional development, performance assessments, timely addressing of performance issues, compensation, and PTO
Solid experience in the recruiting process, interviewing, and hiring
